Raymath’s Solution: Design for Manufacturability

Amano’s current design featured welded corner seams that required extensive grinding and other secondary processes, which slowed production and resulted in a less-than-ideal physical appearance. Using our extensive experience and state-of-the-art technology, we were able to streamline the manufacturing and assembly process while enhancing the architectural appeal.

Our engineers redesigned the product, moving the seams and bending the corners, allowing quicker post-welding operations. The new design also enabled us to use our cutting-edge robotic welding cells, reducing production time and ensuring consistently high-quality results. With better fit-up, fewer secondary operations, and a more cost-effective manufacturing process, Amano’s equipment was well received in its intended market, allowing it to achieve a greater market share.
