ITW Needed to Redesign its Wash Arm for Improved Efficiency
After years of partnering with Raymath, ITW Food Equipment knew it could trust us to help solve a longstanding design limitation while making the wash arm easier to manufacture. ITW’s product development team considered extending or adding to each end of the wash arm, which was currently a flat, two-piece design crimped at the edges. However, this design had proven unreliable, as it was prone to leaks and didn’t provide enough flow to the outer edges of the standalone dishwashing machine.

Raymath’s engineers knew there was a better way to achieve ITW’s desired results and rapidly jumped into action. Within days, they had a solution and suggested a wash arm like none other on the market. Using a one-piece triangular design would not only produce the required flow and be easier to manufacture than the old two-piece model, but it also stood out for its enhanced visual appeal.

By maintaining comprehensive manufacturing capabilities and a team of highly skilled engineering experts, we rapidly responded and produced cost-effective solutions that stunned ITW with their aesthetically pleasing design. Their wash arm now performed AND looked like it belonged in the high-end machines they manufactured. With everything done under one roof, we quickly transitioned from prototyping to production as ITW patented the design and made it their standard wash arm.
